For creating a fall inspired theme in my house I don’t go overdo and overwhelm everything with fall colors and decorations, but dedicate few spots and add some creative ideas to bring a feel and coziness fall season is about.

Want to know How I Organize My Makeup Area – 6 Smart Tips

1 – Pick Out A Color Scheme For Your Fall Decor

Changing up Accent Pillows And Patterned Blanket

First thing I always do whenever I change my home decor and try to create any particular theme or look, I pick out a color scheme. Fall is about going bold with your color choices. For fall decoration, choice of colors for me (I guess for Many of you as well) are mainly Oranges, White or Ivory and earthy tones.

To create that cozy fall feeling is by simply swapping out your throw pillows or just switching out pillow covers with fall colors. Start layering fall decorative throw pillows, plaid blanket and accent pieces that could enhance the space and go with color scheme.

2 – A Creative Centerpiece

When I talk about fall decor I am talking about showcasing natural beauty. An eye catching Centerpiece can be a great addition to your fall decoration. It could be a DIY creative Centerpeice, a beautiful floral arrangement or a candlelit wooden tray.

This simple DIY harvest centerpiece I created, is perfect for my living room Fall Decor. Pair a large glass decorative tray with a clear glass hurricane (You can use any kind of tray or bowl goes with your decor). A white pillar candle inside hurricane for the warm glow and tray is filled with pine cones and needles from my backyard, Add a color with few faux maple leaves and a little pumpkin.

Different size faux candles in wooden tray filled with maple leaves string with LED lights makes a delightful centerpiece perfect for fall. Narrow tray makes it a great fit for dining table as well.

A beautiful flower arrangement in bright colors is perfect for fall and winter as well.

3 – Display Mini Pumpkins For Fall Decoration

Autumn is about showcasing natural beauty of changing leaves and harvesting. Displaying mini pumpkins at different spots or corners of your house is one of the easiest fall decorating ideas.

Look at in the pictures below how I displayed little cute pumpkins at different spots. Displaying mini pumpkins is a great fall decor idea to create an instant and lovely autumn charm. I bought those mini pumpkins with maple leaves from Amazon only for $15.

4 – Decor Your Fireplace

Fireplace is the best spot to decor for any festival or season. Sometimes decorating only fireplace is enough to bring that feel and show your gesture of celebrating fall season.

You can see in pictures above how I put things together and created a fall theme around my fire place. I put a Lighted Fall Garland on Mantel, candle arrangements on both top ends of Mantel. At one corner of fireplace a tray full of mini pumpkins and maple leaves. Add color with small floral arrangement in a colorful vase. Set up space with wooden lanterns, a red decorative candle, blanket in a wicker basket and DIY ‘hello fall’ display card. Everything together not only looks beautiful but also give my living room a nice decent autumnal feel.

DIY ‘Hello Fall’ Card

A closer look at this simple DIY hello fall card. I used a piece of my kids’ old height chart. At the back of the card print “hello fall” with black marker, glue maple leaves to give a seasonal touch, draw little pumpkins and add some glitter on it.

I keep other corner of fireplace simple by putting a large red vase with faux flower arrangement accompanied by a little green plant. A faux fur blanket around it creates a cozy feel I wanted with this arrangement.

5 – Liven Up Your Dining Room With Seasonal Touch

Adding fall inspired accents like decorative jars, a pleasant lighted centerpiece, a bowl of pumpkins, vintage style candle stand set the mood at the table.

A table runner with floral motifs is an easy way to add a sophisticated touch to a fall table arrangement

Little details like a pineapple printed cloth napkin and DIY pumpkin shaped place card is a great touch to complete the look.

6 – Fall Inspired Home Fragrance

Unique and cozy Fall scents is an easy way to jump into the autumn spirit.

Warm and Spicy fall fragrances in the form of Candles, Wall flowers, Essential Oils or Diffuser create such a cozy and pleasant fall feel. Frosted Cranberry and Cinnamon are my favorite scents for fall season.
