Marc Jacobs Spotlight Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator
As I always mention I am a big fan of highlighters. This time what I bought is a Marc Jacobs Spotlight Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator ($42 for 0.49 Oz/14g). Even though this is not the new arrival from Marc Jacobs, still I wanted to give it a try and find out how it works on my skin.
I have a normal to dry skin with olive medium tone. Marc Jacobs Spotlight Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator is a cream stick highlighter which at first look gives you the impression that it is more towards white but when you look at it closer in different lights and angles you find out it does contains pearly silver and champaign gold pigments which allow its use for both warm and cool complexions, truly justifies its description about universal glow that flatters all skin tones.
Texture is no doubt creamy and has a very dewy soft pearly finish as compare to any powder highlighter. This highlighter is not the most pigmented and gives a natural glow but you can build intense sheen by applying more product.
It works well on my skin in winter but I probably wouldn’t use it in summer time and would go back to my powder highlighters just because of that creamy feel and I could anticipate that on oily skin it will not work the best.
Direct application is easy on cheek bones but it could be tricky while applying on bridge of nose or around your temple unless you apply with the edge. I would definitely blend it with my finger tips or Marc Jacobs The Shape Contour and Blush Brush No. 15 for a subtle smooth finish.
Marc Jacobs Spotlight Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator comes in a cute twist-up tube that looks like the little travel-size deodorant. The packaging makes it ideal for travel/running around without having any added tool like brush/sponge for application, which is convenient.
I would apply it all over my face under my foundation as an illuminating primer, OR use it on my cheek bones, nose bridge and centre of my temple to highlight. when I apply it over foundation or blush it takes off some of my foundation/blush but does leave the highlight.
I wouldn’t rate it the best among all my highlighters but use it occasionally especially in winters when my skin is dry. If you are intrigued by Marc Jacobs Spotlight Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator and have a plan to buy, it is available on sale at marcjacobsbeauty.com where you can have glow stick glistening illuminator with the shape contour brush (shown in pictures) for $64 ($86 value).

Marc Jacobs Hi Shine Gloss Lip Lacquer
Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer ( $28 for .16 Oz/5 ml ) is a shiny lip gloss that heals and protect lips. The formula is thick creamy that works well to sooth lips. I find it a bit sticky and and it gives me the feel of wearing a thick lip balm on my lips. I have it in shade 312 sugar sugar which itself is a pinky nude with champagne-gold shimmer if you wear it alone or it can also be paired with lipstick. Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer is pigmented lip gloss with the smell of peppermint. It lasts for good period of time and leaves a hint of color behind when it goes away.
Applicator performs well at delivering the right amount of product and to shape my lips. Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer comes in 17 shades in high shine finish and 14 shades in shimmer finish. You can find full range of colors at Sephora.com .
